The U.S. Virgin Islands’ Progress Towards 100 % Renewable Energy

The U.S. V.I. aims to get 35% of its energy from renewable sources by 2025. Renewables include wind, solar, hydro-electric and ocean thermal as well as biomass. More renewable energy will enable the USVI to cut greenhouse emissions and make it less dependent on imported energy. Boosting the renewables industry will encourage technological innovation and employment in USVI.
